Brent Wilson Tallent

Brent Wilson Tallent, age 51, of Dandridge, passed away on April 5, 2026. Brent was a dedicated and hardworking man who gave 31 years of service to UPS. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 519, where he served as a trustee, an Executive Board (E-Board) member, and a lead steward. He was also actively involved in the Teamsters Black Caucus. Brent was working toward his SAP certification, having already earned his LAP certification—an accomplishment that reflected his commitment to growth and helping others. A member of First United Methodist Church of Dandridge, Brent lived his life grounded in service, strength, and compassion. As a certified strength coach, he was passionate about powerlifting and committed to helping others build both physical and mental resilience. He also spent many years coaching the Dandridge Broncos, where he loved mentoring young athletes and making a lasting impact in their lives, even as he often joked that the parents could sometimes be a bit much. Brent was also a proud sports dad, cheering on and supporting his family through Jefferson County High School (JCHS) athletics and Emory & Henry wrestling. His encouragement, presence, and pride in their accomplishments were constant and unwavering. Above all, Brent loved his wife, kids, and dogs fiercely. He was immensely proud of his sobriety and never hesitated to share his journey with others, offering encouragement, hope, and support to anyone facing similar struggles. His willingness to be open about his life and his desire to help others will be remembered as one of his greatest legacies. Brent will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his strength, kindness, and unwavering dedication to others will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred Tallent Sr. and Ruth Tallent, William and Dorothy Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Crystal Tallent; children, Ella and Seaton Tallent; parents, Fred and Betty Tallent; mother-in-law, Sue Franklin; sister-in-law, April (Kathy King) Franklin; fur-babies, Curly Leroy and Duke Beauregard; granddog, Zeus Apollo; work-wife, Mike Sepesi; close friend and mentor, Tommy Vitiello; and several other Teamester Brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Memorial service 7:00 pm Friday, April 17, 2026, at First United Methodist Church of Dandridge. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm prior to the service at the Church.
