Bobby Dean Parker

Bobby Dean Parker, age 87, of Strawberry Plains, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026. Bobby dedicated the working years of his life serving as a Greyhound bus mechanic, taking pride in honest work and always enjoying the satisfaction of fixing things with his own hands. He had a goofy sense of humor and loved making people laugh with a well-timed joke or playful comment. Whether he was teasing friends or sharing a funny story, Bobby had a way of bringing smiles to those around him. Beneath his lighthearted nature, Bobby faced his share of struggles. But when he set his mind to something, he committed to it with the same stubborn resolve that defined so much of his life. That quiet determination carried him through life's challenges and earned the respect of those who knew him best. Bobby will be remembered for his compassionate heart, playful spirit, and his ability to find joy in life's simple moments. Whether he was sharing a joke, lending a helping hand, or caring for a stray animal, he left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence L. Parker, Sr. and Lillie Mae Wade Parker; sister, Lillie Estelle Parker Blair; brother, Clarence L. Parker, Jr. (Bud); brother, Charles D. Parker (Infant); son, Boyd Dean Parker; and daughter, Melissa Ann Parker. He is survived by his beloved sister, Helen Parker Jarnagin; grandson, Bradley Dean Parker; nephews, Hugh Dean Jarnagin, Richard Clarence Parker, Jack Dean Parker, and David Louis Parker; nieces, Teresa Jarnagin Norvell and Catherine Parker Cunningham Bogan; great-niece, Alec Catherine Cunningham; along with several other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever treasure the moments they shared with him. Family and friends are invited to join together in honoring Bobby's memory as he is laid to rest at Trentville Cemetery in Strawberry Plains on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at . Fielden Funeral Home is honored to serve the Parker Family. Due to unforeseen cemetery issues, the family will be postponing the service for Mr. Parker. The rescheduled service will be announced shortly.
