France, Ruby Bailey-92 of Strawberry Plains, was granted her request by the Lord to be taken Home to Heaven on Saturday, June 2, 2018, one month before her 93rd birthday. She was at Life Care Nursing Home in Jefferson City. She was the oldest living member of Holston Baptist Church. Ruby retired from Standard Knitting Mills after 40 years. She loved to laugh and have a good time. She was one of thirteen children born to Sam and Shina Bailey. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gurge France; son, Gary France; parents, Sam and Shina Bailey; loving step-mother, Mae Bailey; sisters, Maudie Trent Moore, Bertha Workman, Zora Tipton; brothers, Marvin, and J. R. Bailey, and five infant siblings. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda (Roger) Maples; grandson, Jason (Tanya) France; granddaughter, Raven Maples; great grandchildren; Graeson and Gretchan France; daughter-in-law Faye France; sisters, Mary Ballinger and Betty (Howard) Phipps and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Special niece and traveling companion on bus trips, Grace Wilson. Thanks to Grace Wilson and Ray Diamond who were always faithful to eat holiday meals with Ruby at Life Care. Honorary Flower Girl; Gretchan France. Pallbearers: Greg France, Eric France, Scott Rines, Jim Shell, Bob Oglesby and Robert Dockery. Funeral service 6:00 pm Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Fielden Chapel officiated by her long time friend, Rev. John Mills. Pastor Toby Downey will be closing in prayer. Interment at Eastview Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 1:00 pm with Rev. John Mills officiating.
