Gladys Lousie Smith Clevenger, age 74, of Jefferson City, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Smith; daughter, Brenda (Robert) Denton; grandchildren, Shannon Trent, David Denton; son-in-law, Randy Buckner; special friend, Stud Noe. She is survived by her loving daughters, Patricia Buckner, Priscilla (Melvin) Trent and Glenda Clevenger; grandchildren, Jessica (Rusty) Conner, Michael Trent, Lewis (Alicia) Chamberlain, Carla (Harold) Morgan, Kim (Johnny) Hendricks; 21 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Dalton; brother, Kenneth (Linda) Smith; special friends, Scott Morgan and Sherry Goff; and several nieces and nephews. The family. Would like to extend a special thank you the the start of Smoky Mountain Hospice and her special caregiver, Bill Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fielden Funeral Home. Funeral service 7:00 pm Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. James Goin and Rev. Terry Green officiating. Interment 2:00 pm Friday in Denton Family Cemetery, 299 Jones Lane, Rutledge, TN 37861. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm prior to the service at the Church. Arrangements by Fielden Funeral Home in New Market.
