Frances "Tootie" Ballinger

Frances “Tootie” Ballinger, age 90, of New Market, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022 at home. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church and a nurse for Dr. Ellis for 18 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Ballinger; parents, McKinley and Lillie Maude Hankins; brothers, Haskell and Don Hankins; sister, Leona Johnson; and 2 infant sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Gail (Freddie) Greene of New Market; son, David Ballinger of New Market; grandchildren, Brian (Brittany) Greene of Knoxville, Douglas and Christopher (Ashlyn) Ballinger both of New Market; Jennifer Hull of Virginia; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Agnes Trotter; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice, Dr. Ramsey and special caregiver, Dalene Foster. Graveside service 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Eastview Memorial Garden with Rev. Billy Fowler officiating. Mrs. Ballinger will lie-in-state Tuesday from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Fielden Funeral Home in New Market.
