Billy Don Eslinger, age 69, of New Market, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Strawberry Plains and employed by Nyrstar Mines for 45 years. He loved his family, farming, his cows, and spending time with his grandbabies. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Tammie Eslinger; parents, Ralph and Ruth Eslinger; sister, Sue Houser; brothers, James (Jady) Eslinger and Charles Eslinger; and special friend, Roy Bales. He is survived by his wife, Tonya Eslinger; son, Brent (Carley) Eslinger; daughter, Elizabeth (Daniel) Eslinger; grandchildren, Bryson, Jacob, Aubrey, Camden and Jackson; sisters, Betty Jo Heath and Maxine Britt; brother, Gene Eslinger; mother-in-law, Delores Gass; several special nieces and nephews, and his special baby, Rosebud. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Covenant Hospice Care for helping his final wishes come true. They also want to extend a special thank you to Pastor Tony Hayes and the church family, along with Fielden Funeral Home. Graveside service 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Valley View Cemetery. Mr. Eslinger will lie-in-state Tuesday from 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm at Fielden Funeral Home in New Market.
