Ben Allen Trent

February 14, 1926 - October 1, 2017

Ben A. Trent, 91, of Jefferson City, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 1, 2017. Ben was a veteran of the U.S. Army, earning the American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. He returned home to marry the love of his life, Alma Ruth Willis. He retired from Graham Paper Company, after 35 years of service. Ben was also faithful member and deacon at Mill Springs Baptist Church, where he served for many years. Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Lincoln and Mae Jackson Trent; brothers, Kenneth and LR Trent; and sisters, Juanita Rogers and Sue Peters. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Alma Ruth Trent; sisters, Phyllis (Rodney) Price of Gray, TN and Viva Johns of Sneedville, TN; special friends, Rocky and Missy Seals, Brenda Wood; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2:30 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Mill Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Greg Lindsey officiating. Interment to immediately follow in Mill Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:30 PM prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Fielden Funeral Home in New Market.
