Vicki Carla Mallory

Vicki Carla Mallory, age 78, of Morristown, passed away on July 5, 2026. In the days since Vicki's passing, one message has been shared again and again by those who knew her: she had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome. Whether family, lifelong friends, coworkers, or someone she had only recently met, Vicki had a way of making others feel seen, accepted, and genuinely loved. It wasn't something she tried to do—it was simply who she was. Those closest to Vicki knew the simple things that brought her joy. She loved spending time on her computer, reading her Bible, and being with her family. Whether it was a holiday gathering or an ordinary afternoon together, those were the moments she treasured most. She found contentment in everyday life and never took for granted the people who filled it. An honorary member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, her faith remained an important part of her life. That same heart for others shaped her career. For many years, Vicki dedicated her life to Child and Family Services, working in group homes where she cared for children and families facing difficult circumstances. It was work that suited her heart, and she approached it with the same compassion, patience, and kindness that defined the way she lived. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty Eubanks; her husband, Douglas Mallory; her siblings, Karen, John, Leesa, and Luann; and her precious granddaughter, Nikki Harrell. She is survived by her sister, Babbette Eubanks; brother, David (Joy) Eubanks. Her children, Robert (Teresa) Eubanks, Angie (Gannon) Davis, Robin (Billy) Kuykendall, and Chris (Peggy) Nicholosi; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; special niece/daughter, Michelle Hughes; and a handful of other special nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. While her family grieves her loss, they are grateful for the countless lives she touched through her kindness, her unwavering faith, and the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Funeral service 1:00 pm Friday, July 10, 2026, at Fielden Chapel with Rev. Sean Watson officiating. Interment to follow in Bryds Chapel Cemetery in Knoxville. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 - 1:00 pm at Fielden Funeral Home in New Market.
