Sandy G. Hansel

Sandy Gail Hansel, 53, of New Market, TN, sadly passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, after battling stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. Sandy battled her cancer since March 2024 and always said that she was on God’s path. Her faith was strong and never wavered. Her path led her straight into God’s loving arms. Sandy was born on January 7, 1971, in Jefferson City to parents Glen Edward Warren Sr. and Carolyn Warren of White Pine. She was predeceased by her grandparents Edgar and Gussie Warren of White Pine, and Troy and Pansy Nash of Jefferson City. Her daddy Ed Warren and her mother-in-law Carolyn Hansel. Sandy is survived by her mother Carolyn Warren and her father-in-law Jimmy Hansel. Her brothers Gregory (Angie) Warren, Glen Edward Warren Jr., and sister Patti Warren. She is also survived by her husband and high school sweetheart of 37 years, David Hansel of New Market, her daughter Jessica Mae Pernell and son David Lance Hansel, along with her grandson Christian Sawyer Pernell and granddaughter Lilly Mae Pernell. Sandy is also survived by her brother-in-law Jeffrey Hansel and sister-in-law Robin Hansel. Sandy’s nephews, Dylan Craig Trenholm of White Pine, Justin Hansel, and James Long; niece Megan Dance. She had many more family members that she loved dearly as well. Sandy was described by her family and friends as kind, sweet, precious, funny, nurturing, beautiful, thoughtful, strong, and the list truly goes on and on with nothing but wonderful things. She has now added to that, “deeply missed.” She worked at Walmart in Jefferson City for 7 years and she loved it because of the people. She enjoyed the people she worked with and the customers. She wanted to help anyone, anyway she could. She loved anything outside such as fishing, metal detecting, and cleaning up outside in the yard. She called it “grubbing”. Her favorite thing was building a bonfire and sitting by them while talking and listening to music. There was nothing she loved more than the Lord and her family. God placed Sandy on this earth to love and to be loved and that is exactly what she did and was. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and her sweet smile and will be deeply missed until we see her again. Funeral service 7:00 pm Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Fielden Chapel with Rev. Charlie Brewer officiating. Interment 11:00 am Wednesday in Pleasant Grove Fielden Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 10th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm prior to the service at Fielden Funeral Home in New Market. Fielden Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hansel Family.
