Michele Denise Allen Born 7-11-1957 in San Francisco, CA Went to be with the Lord, Sunday 6-12-2022, in Morristown, TN. Born to Lou Ann and Robert Allen, Michele was raised in faith and love by LouAnn and Dick Bentley. Michele is the loving wife of Pat Scanlon; she is the mother to LeeAnn (Scotty) Roach, and Kathy Mullins, bonus daughter Tiffany Slatter. Happy to be Na'na to Garret and Grant Boring, Victoria and Alexandria Mullins, Jayden and Amara Dixon, bonus grandkids; Ashlynn Shelton, Bella Napier, and Leighton Mulvaney. Michele is the beloved sister of Michael Allen, Suzanne Lytle, & Ed (Tracey) Bentley, Alethea Allen. She was the next favorite Aunt to Austin and Ashley Lytle, Nick, Ryan (Haley), and Abel Allen, Amanda (Mike') Collins. Eddy(Audrey) and Brianna (Danny) Bentley Great Aunt to our great niece to Alivia Bentley When Michele's daughters were young, she went back to school and graduated from Olivet College in Michigan earning her bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Michele had many jobs over the years, she had an impressive work ethic, always working in the service industry. I believe the career she enjoyed the most and was most remembered for was her 18 years in food service at Dollywood before she retired in 2020. All of us loved her working there, every summer she made sure we all got a ticket in and we would upgrade to passes, and came up and visited the park and family for the rest of the park season, family has always been important and just that gesture insured we would all see each other often. The kids loved seeing Aunt Michele and the happily surprised addition to our family, Uncle Pat! Besides getting a husband out of her time there she talked about the family she had in the park. She would say it was hard to explain these weren't just friends or coworkers these were confidant's. People she prayed with, laughed together with, cried together with, they encouraged and supported one another. Whatever it takes for them all to create the "Dollywood experience" for so many guests so consistently seemed to bond that family as friends for life. She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, multiple Aunts, Uncles, and several cousins, far too many like her way too soon,Most recently and the most heartbreaking for her was our Daddy (Dick Bentley) 6-11-2018 ad our niece Brianna Bentley 2-9-2022 and know they were waiting for her upon her arrival into heaven. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to benefit the family. Celebration of life will be 2:00 pm Saturday June 18th, 2022, at New Market Baptist Church, 921 Churchview St, New Market, TN 37820.
