Daniel Sartin Stanley

Daniel Sartin Stanley 68, of Jefferson City Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. “Daniel” was born on April 13, 1955, to Benton & Nora Stanley in Oneida, TN. Daniel graduated from Oneida High School. Daniel worked many years as an Independent Contractor and was extremely talented in wood working, He made over 540 hand crafted canes and staffs, none of which he sold but gave them to people who needed them and refused any money! He was an amazing cook and prepared many meals for his community and provided meals for those less fortunate! He loved his family, and his many friends! He was a great storyteller and had the knowledge to give precise details of family history. He had the ability to talk to anyone. Daniel was a follower of Jesus, and Loyal member of Faithful Missionary Baptist Church and dearly loved his Pastor Jack McCarter. Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Benton M. and Nora A. Stanley, brothers: Sherman Stanley, Charles Stanley, and Burton Stanley, sisters: Josephine Neilson, Virginia Carter, Betty Lou Phillips, Doris Duncan, Peggy Boyd, Brenda Holley, brothers-in-law, Jim Marlow and Edward Smith. He is survived by sisters: Jean Marlow, Nellie (Rev. James M.) Shanks, Irene Smith, Catherine (Fred) Cannon, Naomi (Darrell) Bryan, Debra (Kevin) Griffin. Sister-in-law, Betty Stanley, brother-in-law, Phil Holley. He was also blessed with many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly: Gary Neilson, Kimberly Cain, Lisa Dupree, Lori Firestone, Melissa Visage, Burton Stanley Jr., Tim Marlow, Chuck Stanley, Brian Smith, Nathan Smith, Michael Bryan, Bradley Parker, Matthew Bryan, and Mark Bryan. Also very special, beloved, and close friends Charlie Patterson and Kathy McDaniel. A very special thank you to the Wonderful Caring staff at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital, and Life Care Center of Jefferson City! The family will receive friends Monday May 8, 2023, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Fielden Funeral Home 910 Churchview St, New Market, TN, 37820. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm at Faithful Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery 902 Owl Lane, Jefferson City, TN, 37760 with Rev. James M. Shanks officiating.
