Blanche Lorene Longmire

This is an Address Change Notification. On September 13, 2021, Blanche Lorene Hodge Longmire entered into the gates of Heaven. She left peacefully with her husband of 72 years at her bedside and her children gathered around her. Today the family is rejoicing because there's no more pain or suffering. To be absent from this body is to live eternally, she'll be present in the presence of the King. Blanche was a member of Jefferson City Assembly of God. Along with her husband she was co-owner of Cherokee Market in the Shiloh community of Grainger County. Blanche was a seamstress, an excellent cook, and she loved to bake. She enjoyed canning the many vegetables Conard grew in their garden. She had a love of flowers and could call each one by name. Blanche was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a prayer warrior with a strong love for the Lord, many were touched by her prayers and without those prayers, I don’t know where we would be now. She was preceded in death by her parents J. Frank and Helen Cameron Hodge. Brother, Raymond Hodge Of Camarillo, CA; Father and Mother-In-Law, Edgar and Grace Longmire. Son-in-Law, Carl Foister; Niece, Janet Lynn Hodge Collins. Brothers and Sister-in-Laws, Earl (Barbara) Longmire, Walker (Harriet) Longmire, Avon Longmire, Ezra (Norma Dene) McElhaney, Doug Roach and Shields Greenlee. Blanche is survived by her husband of 72 years, Conard Longmire. They had a boundless love for one another that was made stronger through years of hard work. Children, David (Nancy) Longmire, Dandridge, TN; Diann Foister, Jefferson City, TN; and Derald Longmire, Dandridge, TN. Grandchildren, Amy (Eddie) Longmire Hogsten, Eddie, Shane, Charles Foister and Melissa (Rondel) Henry, Josh (Marideth) Longmire, Metina (Justin) Longmire Manning. Great Grandchildren, Ezekiel, Sawyer, and Colter Hogsten, Emily, and John Daniel Foister, Brice, Libby, Ellie, Maggie Mae, and Blake Longmire. Brother, Wayne (Donalene) Hodge, Sister-In-Law; Marilyn Ellis, Minnie Greenlee, Lois Anderson, Ledena Roach; Brothers-in-Law; Carl (Gladys) Longmire, Wendell Longmire, Daughter-In-Law, Linda Barding Longmire along with many nieces and nephews. Members of the Shiloh Community, Shiloh United Methodist Church, and the Grainger County Baptist Association. A very special Thank You to all the wonderful caregivers of Covenant Health Care; Maggie Musick, Cindee Inman, Tina Lopez, Betty Jo Bukowski, Mandee Kimsey, Lisa Bentley, Donna Ramsey, Special Chaplin's, Jimmy Lopez, and Tom Rayford. Family Physician for many years, Dr. Lance Patton. Mrs. Longmire will lie in state Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Fielden Funeral Home, New Market, TN. Graveside services will be held Thursday September 16th, 2021, at 11:00 am at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery, Grainger County, TN. Rev. Mike Hinkle and Rev. Jack Eleam, officiating.
