  • Rick Fielden

    Rick Fielden Owner/Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer

    Rick is the 2nd generation of the Fielden family to serve here at Fielden Funeral Home. Rick is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and of John A. Gupton Mortuary College. Rick married Debbie Daniels in 1979. Together they have two wonderful children, son, Brad Fielden and his wife Megan Scott Fielden and his daughter, Sarah Fielden Farris and her husband Matt Farris. Rick and Debbie enjoy spending time with all of their grandchildren, Paisley, Jase, Jax Farris (aka Skeeter, Patch, and Biscuit), Piper and Wilder Fielden (aka Gabby and Hoot). When not at the funeral home you will find Rick working on the family farm and riding around in one of his antique toys his truck Maybelle and his Blazer named Porter. Rick has been around Fielden Funeral Home most all of his life.

  • Brad Fielden

    Brad Fielden Owner/Licensed Funeral Director

    Brad is the 3rd generation of the Fielden family to serve here at Fielden Funeral Home. He joined the family business in 2009, serving alongside his grandfather, Gene, and his dad, Rick Fielden. Brad married Megan Scott in October of 2013. Together they have two wonderful children, Piper and Wilder (aka Phyllis and Floyd). Brad is an avid fly fisherman and outdoorsman. When not at the funeral home Brad is likely to be found spending time with his family in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Brad is also the handler for Miss Edna our funeral home comfort animal.

  • Robert S. Rutherford

    Robert S. Rutherford Licensed Funeral Director/Certified Life Celebrant

    Robert is a Licensed Funeral Director and a Certified Life Celebrant. Robert is very passionate about serving others and helping our families to celebrate the life of their loved one while helping them to begin the process of navigating their grief journey. Serving as a funeral celebrant allows Robert to assist families who may not have a minister or pastor available to conduct the service. Robert married Tammy Doane in May of 1997 and has been blessed with five children, Ashleigh, Brittany, Joshua, Ciarra, and Ella. In August 2019, they had their first granddaughter, Scarlett Rose. When not at the funeral home he and Tammy enjoy spending time camping on Cherokee Lake, kayaking the Holston and French Broad Rivers, and spending time in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

  • David  Hubbard

    David Hubbard Non Licensed Funeral Assistant

    David is from New Market, TN. He has been an employee of Fielden Fuenral Home, since 2018. He is a loyal member of our staff willing to serve in any compacity needed. He is married to Katrina and they have two sons, Chad and Taylor. David is a member of New Market Baptist Church where he serves on various committees.

  • Tammy Doane Rutherford

    Tammy Doane Rutherford Office Administrator

    Tammy has served many years in the funeral profession, serving in administrative roles as well as overseeing cemetery operations. She has worked extensively with cemetery monuments from design to completion. Tammy has a heart for serving others. Her infectious smile brings comfort to anyone she is serving. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert after graduating from Rutledge High School. Together they have five children, Ashleigh, Brittany, Joshua, Ciarra, and Ella. In August 2019, they had their first granddaughter, Scarlett Rose. When not at the funeral home Tammy and Robert enjoy spending time camping on Cherokee Lake, kayaking the Holston and French Broad Rivers, and spending time in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

  • Miss Edna  Fielden

    Miss Edna Fielden Fielden Funeral Home's Comfort Dog

    Miss Edna is a wonderful addition to our staff. So many families find comfort in having her present for arrangements or for the funeral service. Although the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) does not currently keep a record of how many funeral homes in the United States employ utilize therapy dogs, funeral homes have seen an increase in the last few years. Therapy dogs have an amazing ability to put people at ease in a very emotional and difficult situation. She is a natural fit at our funeral home and we enjoy having her with us daily.

  • Gene  Fielden

    Gene Fielden In Memory

    Gene was the owner of Fielden General Store and Fielden Funeral Home in New Market. He, along with the Farrar family, served their community by donating ambulances to help start the Jefferson County Ambulance Service in 1972. Gene was also a U.S. Army Veteran and served on the County Commission for 12 years. Gene served area families until his death in late 2020.

  • Elden Leigh Fielden

    Elden Leigh Fielden In Memory

    Mrs. Fielden served along with her husband Gene for many years at the funeral home. She was mostly known for being an educator at New Market Elementary School. She would come home from school and immediately change her clothes to greet all guest entering the funeral home for the evening services.
